With more than a decade of experience in real estate, John Morrison is a trusted Realtor and real estate investor serving buyers, sellers, and land investors throughout Wills Point, Forney, Canton, Terrell, Kaufman County, and Van Zandt County. His background as a business owner, technology professional, and entrepreneur gives his clients a unique advantage when navigating the real estate market.
John’s career has always centered around hard work, problem solving, and customer service. From 1990 to 2001, he owned and operated two successful businesses, Autoglass Work and Steering Column Specialists, providing services throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth area. During this time he even operated a shop on Redbird Lane in Duncanville, gaining firsthand experience in running businesses and building strong relationships with customers.
After selling those companies, John expanded his technical expertise by completing the Information Technology Professional Certification Program at SMU in Frisco, earning his Microsoft Certified Professional certification. From 2003 to 2010, he worked as an IT Business Support Analyst for a major company, supporting multiple manufacturing facilities and developing a reputation for solving complex problems quickly and efficiently.
In 2010, when his daughter Lyla was born, John chose to focus on building a business closer to home and more connected to his community. He purchased and operated Mr. Jim’s Pizza in Forney, Texas, where he successfully grew the store into one of the top-performing locations in the country, ranking in the top 4 out of 64 stores nationwide. This experience further strengthened his skills in customer service, marketing, and relationship building.
After selling the store in 2016, John transitioned into real estate, combining his passion for working with people and his interest in property investment. He obtained his real estate license and joined Exalt Realty, closing his first transaction in less than 60 days. Since then, he has continued to build his reputation as a knowledgeable and dedicated Realtor who works tirelessly for his clients.
Today, John specializes in residential homes, land, and investment properties across East Texas and the East Dallas corridor. As an active real estate investor himself, he understands how to evaluate property value, negotiate effectively, and help clients make smart decisions that support their long-term goals.
